Getting Free Leads Through Face to Face Marketing

Everyone knows that your business can't survive without people to talk to and there are many ways to get leads.  You can buy them from lead vendors, learn how to generate your own organic leads, and you can get your leads by Face to Face Marketing.  We all talk to people everyday and there is absolutely no reason why, if done properly, you can't turn these contacts into leads. 
 I am going to talk about some Do's and Don'ts that will help you in your Journey as an Entrepreneur just by utilizing your daily activities outside the home.(You will want to steer clear of your family and friends).

Do's
  • Do remember that you will meet the most amazing people that will change the entire course of your business!
  • Do remember that you will get rejection, but that's okay, it's just part of being an entrepreneur.  Every no is one person closer to a yes!
  • Do remember that YOU have the control.  You decide how many leads you'll get, and you decide the quality of each lead.  You are in control of your business.
  • Do remember that confidence is key.  Even if you have to fake your confidence a few times, you'll notice that you'll actually start to feel more confident.  If you think you can do this, you can.
  • Do remember to protect your heart:  do not get emotionally involved with any lead until after they've become part of your business.
  • Do remember that "we attract who we are, not who we want".  It is important to work on personal growth everyday.
  • Do remember that the more you generate leads this way, the easier it gets!
  • Do remember that the people you meet, you may work with for the rest of your life.  It is important to never be misleading and have your integrity in place.
Don'ts
  • Don't underestimate the importance of making a strong first impression.
  • Don't get into a long conversation about the business when you first meet someone.  If you do that, they will make a decision based on your conversation instead of going through the process of their due diligence.  This is not       fair to them, and it isn't fair to you.
  • Don't beat yourself up if you don't get any leads the first time you do this!  I forgot what I wanted to say the first few times I went out.  It is all part of the learning curve.
  • Don't prejudge people.  You just never know who will be a good candidate for your opportunity.  It is always a "no" if you don't ask.
  • Don't pull out a notebook full of leads' names to write down their information.  You don't want them to feel like you were waiting for someone to come along so you could "pounce" on them.  This is supposed to be a "chance meeting".  You want people to feel special.  Instead, write on the back of a business card, or carry a sticky pad wherever you  go.
  • Don't be distracted while talking to someone.  You have one minute to talk to them, and they deserve your full attention during that minute.
  • Don't underestimate that we live in an image society.  People WILL judge you on how you look.  Try to look polished.  Even if you have on blue jeans, you can still look neat and professional.
  • Don't be comfortable.  Step out of your comfort zone!  Talk to the people that make you sweat.
  • Don't beg anyone to check out your opportunity.  That is an insult to you and your business.  They are either ready  to move forward or they are not.
